We have a pet rabbit. He’s fed and groomed and is about 10 yo now. He has definitely lived longer than most of the outside rabbits that he stares at through the ground level windows. He does not face the coyotes, bobcats, or large birds. But he has no family. And no matter how much he paws at the carpet, no hole will appear.

You may trust your current government. But over the long arc of history, every tyranny, every genocide & mass murder has been committed by a government. So, it really is just a matter of time before the government you trust turns into one you don't. Control & power given today will be turned on you when that day arrives. Know your enemy.
